On the Eve of the 1st month since Dad left us last Oct 8, 2007; I've compiled some songs about him and about the way I feel about his profound influence on me and on how I live out the rest of my life.
He knew that I love music and will gladly do almost anything to make that dream come true. Bittersweet that my group's upcoming CD release and launch will be minus one attendee, but wherever he is. I know, Dad is listening and he knows.
These songs are for you and of you, Dad.
Missing you.
In the words of the Ehldiric, used in the book that I'm writing for him says, "NAYARIN THE' TU REMORANTH"; which means..."I Will Remember You."
Love,
your Son, CAZ

This footage nwas taken using our cellphone as me and my good designer friend, Marie killed a Saturday night one weekend till the wee hours of the morning at a Karaoke bar.
One of the songs we did was the James Ingram and Patti Austin classic, "How Do You Keep The Music Playing" which is also the theme song for the talk show, Echoes of the Heart, that I co-host every Saturday, over DWIZ-882 with our one and only Ms World, Evangeline Pascal from 2pm-4pm.
I know, shameless plugging - but just couldn't help it :) Import.flv (9.0 MB)
There is perhaps no greater story in modern soul music of the power of redemption and faith than that of Kem. Through his tribulations and ultimate success, he has become an inspiration to many and a role model to a generation of young, independent artists.
Born in Nashville and raised in a middle-class Detroit suburb, Kem's life took an unfortunate turn after high school. Instead of advancing toward his dreams of musical success, he succumbed to a difficult combination of self-doubt, homelessness and addiction that lasted for nearly a half decade. He ultimately found rehabilitation through faith and music, and began again a long trek toward a goal of establishing a successful career as a singer -- and helping resurrect Soul Music on urban radio in the process.
Released in May 2005, this was the first single of Kem's 2nd solo album simply entitled Album II. The disc shows Kem continuing to develop as a lyricist, earnestly weaving his way through themes of romantic love and faith.
Just one of the many great soulful tracks heard over Dream FM 106.7 especially on the program I host called "SOUL CANDY", every Thursday 9pm-11pm. :)

The Queen of Neo-Soul herself. Taken from her CD, "Stone Hits: The Best of Angie Stone", the song is the 2nd hit for Stone which features generous samples of previous hits; in this case "Backstabbers" by the O'jays.
Incidentally her first hit in 1999, "No More Rain" also features another sampling; "Neither One of Us" by Gladys Knight. Import.flv (7.6 MB)
With an album Released in 1997; Rahsaan Patterson is one of the most underrated singer songwriter of the past decade. Having worked with Brandy, Jody Watley, Tevin Campbell and citing Stevie Wonder, Rufus, Miles Davis and Earth, Wind & Fire as his major influences, Rahsaan continues to be a force behind most household artists today and championing the cause of the independent artist.
This is acoustic soul at its inception. Import.flv (9.5 MB)
Taken from her independent album, LIBRA, released back in 2005; after a falling out with La Face Records, of which she was the "First Lady" and their premier artist on that label.
One of the new tracks we played back then on Dream Fm, 106.7
